What can you tell me about how this person lived? How did you arrive at that idea?
I can tell that the boy with no arms has lived a hard life. He is waiting for things to improve in his life. He probably doesn't even understand the gravity of the war and doesn't know when things will get better. I can infer all of this, because of the weary and confused look on his face. He has probably seen much more violence and suffering than he should be seeing at his age.

What interests you most about this work of art?

The thing that most interests me about this picture is the fact that the boy with no arms is separated from the other two boys, probably because they belong to opposite sides of the war.

Why do you suppose the artist made this photograph? What makes you think that?
I think the artist made this photograph because he/she wanted to show that the war in the Middle East is affecting even the smallest of children who don't even fully understand what's going on around them.
